Programs include, but are not limited to, Service-Learning and Community Engagement, Shriver Peaceworker Fellows Program, the Choice Program at UMBC, and Public Service Scholars Programs. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include: Develop a digital resource library of equity focused content to share with community stakeholders Recruit TRHT Circle facilitators and participants. Train volunteers on TRHT Racial Healing Circle facilitation and best practices Attend meetings/trainings/conferences related to TRHT, storytelling, and JEDI initiatives Participate in TRHT Racial Healing Circles on campus and in the community Facilitate “lunch and learns" with UMBC colleagues and community stakeholders Fulfill other duties as assigned Required Minimum Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's degree in any field. Substitution of experience for the degree requirement is permitted on a year for year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience. Examples: Associate's degree and two years of full-time experience or a High School Diploma/GED and four years of full-time experience. Requires: Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work individually and with a team Basic computer and data entry skillsEvening and weekend availability Must have legally-registered vehicle for service use, valid state driver’s license and required automobile insurance U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree and conversational Spanish speaking ability preferred. Salary: $21,049.44/year and $7395 Segal Education Award OR $1800 cash award after the completion of the 12-month contract.
